BiRtHdAy G!Ft ExTrAvAgAnZa!!!

Well, the beautiful thing about having an AMAZING birthday party with AMAZING friends and family the day before your actual birthday, is that you get to play with all of your AMAZING gifts the e-n-t-i-r-e  d-a-y of your real birthday!

Here are some really funny pictures I snapped (cell phone, as usual- sorry) throughout the day of Ada having a total hay-day!
Ada nightlight from Uncle Christian.  "Gotta be careful, this can hurt my toes!  I should not touch this."

Ada LOOOVES her Tinkerbell outfit from Aunt Andi!  So does Dax...

Gimme that Tink dress!

Got it.  Lemme taste those wings.

LUNGE for it!

In fact, Dax started officially crawling at this very moment.  He wanted the dress THAT bad!  (Seriously, we have a real crawler, now- but his preferred method is still the army crawl or sit-and-lunge!)

Ta-daaaa!  (Notice the tinkerbell shoes from Mommy and Daddy, too!)

Fluttering around the house.

She would've gotten these boots eventually, anyway, since this is all she'll wear in the winter... so I wrapped them up and called them a gift.  She wore them in the 90 degree weather to the grocery.  :)

I found this tent (from Roxy and Bella!) pretty much in every square inch of the house at some point.

More dress up!  (Thanks, Aunt Kendra!)  And, a shopping cart with groceries from Mom and Dad.  This girl dresses very fancy for a quick trip to the store.  (We set her room up like a grocery store.)  :)

Ada really racked it up in the toy department- a singing bathtub Ariel from MiMi, a soft stuffed Dala horse from MorMor, a Barbie and matching pony from the Atlee girls, and a Target gift card she still gets to spend from Pop and Honey!  And, not to mention- much of the birthday party from Grams and Papa!!!  She played fervently with everything today- probably the best day of her entire life thus far.
We went to her favorite dining establishment tonight- Fajita Willies.  I don't think she's ever tasted anything from the menu- she just likes to play in the sand box.  :)

I love this girl SO much.
And that's it.  Her birthday is over- she's officially 3.  How can I stop time!?

Thanksgiving 2010

Many things to be thankful for this year! Thankful for my awesome hubs; our sweet, smart, adorable daughter; our healthy boy coming soon; our cozy home; our jobs; for our wonderful family (we love y'all- and miss most of you, too!!); and the life we live every day.

We packed up and drove to Tyler to Pop and Honey's this year for Thanksgiving- and we had a really great time! Here are some pictures-

Trying to get a good picture of Ada with Granddaddy Bill... not working-
Grandaddy Bill with a bunch of grandkids and some significant others-
Ada playing with Aunt Kendall's 15 year old dollhouse with MY baby cousin Kellen-
Ada and Daddy (and Pop) exploring in the "forest"-
Pop and Ada playing on the trampoline- the "jump circle" as Ada has been calling it!
More jump circling-
THEN we went to see the new Disney Rapunzel movie "Tangled" in 3D (it was the only one playing when we got to the theatre)- it was ADORABLE and Ada LOVED IT (and kept her 3D glasses on the entire time)!
She stroked her Rapunzel doll's hair that Pop and Honey gave her the entire movie.
And, she loved it SO MUCH- MiMi took her back 3 days later and she still couldn't get enough of it! We'll be buying that one when it comes out on DVD.....
The Sunday before everyone returned to work and school we went to the Texans vs. Titans football game (which was an awesome game, by the way!) with our friends Brent and Katy Schilhab- we had a blast!
Brent and Casey on the field! (Not really....)
Tailgating-
Katy and I look so much alike it's scary (I'm the one in the big coat if you couldnt' tell, ha!). We even dress alike usually (on accident, I promise)- and we are both pregnant with BOYS, due around the same time! So freaky!

We did all of our Christmas decorating in there, too, but I will blog about that next..... there are already too many words and pictures for one post here!

Happy Father's Day!

To some awesome dads!
My Dad (Pop):

Can't forget Uncle Christian ("Kursht"): Casey's Dad (PaPa): And the #1 Daddy in the entire world (in my opinion!), Casey!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Christmas #1- Pop and Honey

We're having more Christmases than a family deserves this year!!! First off, we went to Tyler to see Pop, Honey, Kyle, and Kendall. We only stayed one night- because next up was a very long drive to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. (That will be the next post!) Here are some pictures, and a sweet video of Ada at the Caldwell Zoo (where we took her to wear her out before our 7 hour drive up to OK that afternon- the well devised plan worked perfectly!)

Helping Pop open his gift- an Aggie Snuggie!
Opening gifts with Pop and Honey! Ada got lots of cute outfits and a tea set. And a toy box that had already been delivered, assembled, and used before we even left for Tyler!

*Honey (my stepmom) just had her Thyroid completely removed after a huge tumor appeared out of nowhere- keep her recovery in your prayers; she's not feeling really hot!*

Holding hands with Daddy (left) and Pop (right)

This white tiger wanted to eat my baby for an afternoon snack. He stalked her up and down the window. Pretty eerie, actually.

Considering how obsessed with Penguins Ada is; I thought she'd get more of a kick out of the Penguin Exhibit at the zoo. Apparently the ones in our yard (and her arms- that's Gwyn Bird she's holding) are more exciting than the real deal...
