Dax (and Tate!) at Gymnastics

Mommy braved Dax's gymnastics class with both boys today- MorMor offered to come and sit with Tate while I went in with Dax, but I just thought I'd go all out and give it a shot.  It went great!  I thought I'd add one more thing to my plate in the gym- documenting it.  :)

Dax's favorite part of class today-

Practicing our patience skills while waiting on the dots while the air trac blows up.

Dax LOVES swinging on the bars.

Tate enjoyed the first 15 minutes or so before passing out!

Dax signing his sister up for the summer session of dance class :)

And some videos of the cuteness-

And Dax hanging & dropping from the bars... then saying his famous "SEE IT TOO!" after I take any sort of video or picture of him. :)

Sweet friends

We have weekly (try to, at least) play dates with our friends the Gaulkes and the Waters -this is a picture Megan took of Dax and Jude playing together in Jude's car this afternoon. Melts my heart!

Kids got my phone...

I completely passed out from sheer exhaustion on the couch in the playroom yesterday (with Tate on my chest)- and the kids apparently got their paws on my phone and took some pictures! There were tons and tons of random shots, but these were a couple that cracked me up! (And you can even see mom-of-the-year in the background sawing logs, lol- thank goodness we were upstairs where it's 98% childproof! The remaining 2% being things like toothpaste and toilets)...

Oh, and I'm attaching one of Ada's drawing of a purple bird that I thought was pretty awesome!

Swinging

I can't really push the kids on the swings these days because I have a 3 week old that wants to be held all.the.time and wants to eat even more... So the kids have learned how to improvise swing time on the swing set :)

New Bucket List Item

I take my bucket list VERY seriously. I definitely don't have 100 things on it. Not even 20. 10 is pushing it. Some of you may know that my #1 is to see Coldplay IN London. I have a new thing I added to my Bucket List today. I saw this idea on Facebook- this family recreated a picture 20 years after the original was taken. The original is so adorable, and the recreation is HYSTERICAL!!!!

Dax's New Boots

Dax got some new cowboy boots for his birthday!!! They are hands down his favorite gift. The idea was born while witnessing him wearing his sisters hipster girl boots- they're 3 sizes too big with fringe around the ankles. He was really great about cooperating not wearing them in public, but if we were home, he was wearing them.

So anyway, he got his OWN boots for his 2nd birthday and he loves them even more! I wake up to hearing him tromp around in them upstairs (usually barging in Ada's room)- and find him asleep in them at naptime.

So- with the new baby Dax's only real "regression" has been his discipline to stay in bed for nap and bedtime. And this is what I have found on multiple occasions of him sneaking out of bed lately! The BEST part is watching him attempt to scurry up the stairs when he gets caught. The boots are so high he has trouble bending his knees, and watching him climb their stairs is the funniest thing I've ever seen!

Tate Face

Tate's faces never fail to amaze and entertain me! Here we are at Ada's dance class today- just hangin in the lobby!

Silly faces

Daddy's out of town and sending pictures of his "adventures" (like stopping at Buccee's gas station- woo!). The kids wanted to send daddy some pictures of themselves this morning!

Tate- 2.5 weeks

Tate doesn't always agree to being put down; but when he does, he prefers to be on the couch looking at the throw pillows :)

Friday Morning Random

My kids are being super random today! Ada made a "phone" out of a notebook cover and stickers (pretty accurate looking!), and Dax made "my dinners"- complete with a timer, lettuce, and cake in a bowl :)

Tate Photo Dump

Tate's been here for 2 weeks, and I've taken lots of pictures of him with my iPhone- here are some cute ones.  :)

Big sister Ada holds him almost every night after bathtime.  She loves him so much, and is such a great help.  And Tate's pretty enamored by her, too!

All of these following pictures of of Tate at 1 week old.  I couldn't choose which expression was my favorite, so I'm uploading them all!

Daddy hanging with Tate while I (we) watch The Bachelor season finale in the playroom.

Roxanne!

He giggles in his sleep and it's the cutest thing you've ever seen or heard.

The kids giving Tate a check up.

Tate hangs out in Ada's old boppy pretty often (he actually prefers to be held, but sits in this thing when I have to use the rest room, bathe the kids, make lunch, or random things)- here he is one day hanging out at lunch time and then helping me make signs for Dax's birthday party!  :)

Oh, we got all three kids in the middle row of the Explorer!  This made me so happy.  I was having bad vibes about putting Ada all the way in the back by herself.  I didn't like how close that very back row is to the back liftgate (in case of being rear-ended), and I didn't like her being back there all alone!  Plus, she's a HUGE help when Tate gets fussy and needs his paci held in place on car rides. :)

Ready for bed- 12 days old.  So presh!  I adore my evenings with this babe in the rocking chair and bed, watching TV together.

And a few (ok, a lot of) videos.  I have to remember what they're like at this age!!--
