2 Months of Random Cuteness...

...aka Photo Dump!

If you wanted a Thanksgiving post- this is about all I've got!
Sonshine had a Thanksgiving lunch that Dax and I enjoyed with Ada bug. :)

Actual conversation-
Me: Dax, have you been eating your play-doh??
Dax: Ummmmm.... No?
Rooting for Johnny Football to win the Heisman!  :)

Doing one of our sporadic "lessons"!  She loves them, I don't get them together enough.
This lesson had her create and fill in a chart with different stickers.
Usually it's some random letter tracing or number recognition.  :)
We went to see Peter Pan the play!

Play date with our sweet, sweet friends Olivia, Rory, and Reese!  (And their mommies!)
Playing a game at a birthday party- Dax sitting in Ada's lap melted my heart!  Lasted a whole 65 seconds!

Brain freezes and sugar highs at Frozen Yogurt!

This cracked me up- this just illustrates Dax's proficiency with technology at the ripe age of 21 months (accidental or intentional, it still amazes me).  He can effortlessly navigate the iPad- he knows which folder all of the fun apps are in, which apps he likes, and is learning how to actually operate a few of them.
I pulled up my photo album and found this.  (This is a screen shot)  Dax had gotten my phone, unlocked it, pulled up the camera, switched the lens (so he could see himself on the screen), and proceeded to take hundreds of self portraits!!  Hilarious!

Dax singing along with Phillip Phillips's "Home" in his carseat-

Christmas 2012- Part 3

Santa came!  :)

We baked cookies for him....
(I, may I brag, also baked the most ridiculously delicious homemade cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning.  Here is the super easy recipe.)

And he ate them!  And dropped off lots of presents. :)

This is a video of the kids finding out that Santa did actually come- Ada woke up in the morning, checked the gameroom, saw there were no gifts, and went back to bed.  Break a mama's heart!!!  So she was quite relieved to find she had in fact been good enough all year for gifts!!!

Scooting in her new scooter  :)
Dax pushing his lawn mower around-

And as generous as Santa was at our house- he just can't compete with MiMi & Steve and Grams & PaPa!  Here are some cute pictures and videos of the kids with their gifts from family-

Dax riding his roller coaster- he also enjoys riding this in the pitch black, now that he's in his "big boy bed" and has the freedom to escape!
(More on that later- he's actually doing AWESOME! Finally...)

And the kids with their new red Camaro!  :)

Videos of them driving are hilarious, why not post several??
Ada driving- nice and responsible.

Dax driving- wild and reckless.

Listen to them "wooooooooooo"-ing the entire time!

Jammin' while cruising down the street-

And here my little hooligans, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!  Or "Meh meh" as Dax could get out-  (Ada 4, Dax 21 mos)

Christmas 2012- Part 2

As insane as it was around here for the past 2 months, we have had a wonderful Christmas season!  Here are some random pictures I snapped throughout-

We did lots of baking-

We went to a birthday party for Jesus at Ada's school, Sonshine- there was a live Nativity Scene, lots of crafts, and a PETTING zoo!

We took a trip to the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens on my birthday- it was awesome!  We've (I've) always wanted to go, and I hope we can make it a tradition to go on my birthday each year.  :)
4D Polar Express!  Dax sat in my lap the whole time and just said "WOOOHHH!!!  WWWOOOWWW!!!  COOOOOLLL!!"  Well, "cool" comes out "tool"- but I knew what he meant.  :)

We wore silly reindeer antlers all day one day!

We went to church and had a candlelight service for Christmas- Ada got to come, and loved the candlelight part!  She was pretty bored and antsy for the rest....

Christmas 2012- Part 1

Ahhhhh, how I love our annual Santa pictures!!!  To see previous pictures from previous years, click HERE for 2008-2010, and HERE for last year's!
And, here are our pictures from this year- it was Dax's turn to be belligerent!

More outtakes-

Ada's Stage Debut :)

We have joined a church near our house- Second Baptist Church- and we really love it.  Well, Casey and I love it.  Dax is still on the fence.  And Ada SERIOUSLY LOVES it!

The preschool Sunday School classes go to this thing called "GiGL" every Sunday ("Growing in God's Love")- where they sing and dance, etc.  The GiGL preschoolers had the chance to sing "Emmanuel" in front of Big Church with the choir on stage during December if they wanted to participate.
Ada ate it up- and I ate her up!
She practiced all week leading up to her 3 minutes of fame- it was adorable, and totally melted my heart.

And here is a 3-4 min video of her performance.  LLLOOOVVVEEE!
(Ada is in the front row, 3rd-ish kid from the left- you can spot her little red sweater, leopard skirt, and red tights.  Sometimes you can spot her on the big screen, too!)

I am still pregnant; and we went to the Cotton Bowl!

I am still pregnant.  And growing.  And complaining but secretly enjoying it.  :)  We still don't know the gender of Baby #3- I am so excited that we have waited!  However- I will be SHOCKED if this baby pops out a girl.  I am 95% positive that there's another little boy in there. :)
'
22 weeks

31 weeks.  It is WAY bigger in person.

Cotton Bowl!  Aggies dominated!
And our tickets were a gift from Grams and PaPa- so it was a real treat to actually sit close enough to see the game on the field!  (Unlike our season tickets in the nosebleed, ha!)

A "bro pho" at the Cotton Bowl- so good to see old friends!

Neglected Blog!

WOW- I don't think I've ever gone 2 months without blogging before!  I know you have all been waiting at the edge of your seats for my next post... :)

I haven't blogged much because we have been beyond busy- we bought a new home.  We kept our old home.  We moved into new home.  We prepared old home for renters.  We rented out old home.  We continued moving into new home.  We managed old home.  We decorated new home.  We are still not done decorating new home.  We had Thanksgiving.  We had Christmas. We had regular daily life still happening.  I am growing a third baby still.  Ahh!  I am making it my goal for this week to catch the blog up- so get ready!

Here are a *few* pictures of the moving process.  I will post pictures of the new house ASAP- It's pretty much ready, I just haven't taken pictures yet and now is not a good time (nap time, lunch time, messy play time, etc).  That will have to be a separate post!
We just bought a house- what have we done!

The day we closed- Welcome Home!

I've been hard at work on DIY projects and crafts.  I will include pictures of everything when I post about the new house!

We LOVE our new neighborhood.  Bridgeland in Cypress if you didn't know.  There are lots of lakes, and this is an undeveloped part of one of the lakes behind our little section.  Casey took the kids fishing one afternoon.

Well, Casey fished, Ada hunted bunnies, and Dax ran amuck!

I adore them!
More to come very soon!

Halloween 2012- Part 2

Now onto the real Halloween post!  Dax went as Elmo, and Ada as a peacock.  I made Ada's peacock tail from scratch- and I'm pretty darn pleased with how it turned out!  I love her- she had a blast pretending to be a peacock all night.  Although a few times she was a baby lion regardless of the get-up.  :)

Now begins the modeling sesh-

Trick-or-treating PaPa!  :)

Dax got creeped out after about 3 houses, so he chilled in the stroller and ate FIVE suckers for the entire outing!  It was the most calm and well behaved he's ever been.  I need to get out and buy a jumbo bag of dum-dums.

I have several videos of the evening, but there are some glitches in getting them all uploaded at the moment- so this one will have to do!  This pretty much encompasses the remaining ones, anyway. :)  Love them!
(Of course Dax said "trick-or-treat" nearly clear as a bell off camera, but refused to attempt it once I started filming!  He would just yell "TREAT!" when he would knock on the door.)
