Dax: 6 weeks old!

No way he's 6 weeks old! He is. 6.5 actually. He's growing up too fast!

Parks, Picnics, Pets, and Pedis: NO BOYS ALLOWED!

Ada and I had a Girls Only Day with the Atlee girls this Saturday! We had a wonderful time- we met at the park bright and early in the morning, then had a picnic, then all four of us packed up to go get PEDICURES! :)

OMG, so presh!

OK, so when we got to the nail salon, Ada saw the animals on the children's chairs, and immediately began thinking that a "pedi" was a "PETty!" It cracked me up!

Ada's "PETty" bunny-

She loooved getting her pedi/petty! :)

She picked this color out herself- I was so glad she didn't go with the bright green she'd also considered... Although she did tell me "I'll just get this color tomorrow!" (Have I created a monster!?)

Keeping Olivia company while they finished up her pedi:

Even big girls crash on the ride home sometimes!

Desperate times...

...call for desperate measures!! We go to the park pretty much every day, but yesterday I just didn't feel like strapping Dax onto me, getting Ada in her stroller, packing her juice, snack, whatever toy she can't find but must bring, etc. But, low and behold- by 3pm we were all three antsy and needing to get out. So I plopped Dax in the stroller, and Ada plopped her baby in her stroller- and off we went! :) I couldn't quit laughing the entire walk.

Setting off! Notice the baby brought her lovey, and Ada brought her purse. :)
Ada repeated 3 phrases the entire walk: "Follow me, Mommy!", "Let's go FASTER!", and "WOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Once we arrived at the park, however, Ada abandoned her baby to play-

Hoppy Easter!

Here's the sequel to the Good Friday post... Easter! Casey was out of town all weekend for a bachelor party, so MiMi and Drew came over on Saturday to begin the Easter fun a day early. :)

Drew got his Aggie Ring last week! Here are MiMi's, Drew's, and my Aggie rings in one shot.
"This is a mother's dream come true- to get all of her kids out of college!" -MiMi

Ada always makes Drew play soccer with her in the backyard when he comes down-

Easter Sunday! Somehow, the Easter egg hunt turned into Ada playing in the pool naked at 8am....

A cute picture of both kids in their Easter outfits! Not sure why it's showing up so tiny. It's in the Snapfish album, so you'll be able to see that better when I send that out! :)

Dax got all dressed up! Who needs pants anyway?? :) 5.5 weeks old:

More Easter egg hunting at MorMor's house!!! Uncle Ricky hid LOTS of eggs for Ada to find...

Some of which she couldn't reach! Thank goodness for MiMis...

Decorating with sidewalk chalk:

"My hands turned blue!" -Ada

And we shouldn't forget what Easter is all about in the first place: thank you Jesus for dying on the cross and rising from the grave for us. :)

We had an awesome, exhausting weekend- the kids and I are just relaxing at home watching movies all day today!

Smilestone :)

We have officially had our first smile at 5.5 weeks! I've been catching glimpses of it for about a week, but at 6:30 this morning (right before I snapped this picture), I got the cutest, biggest, gummiest smile! :) Love this boy:

A Very Good Friday!

Well, I'd intended to wait to blog about this weekend until AFTERwards and all of the Easter festivities... but I took so many awesome pictures yesterday that I a) don't want to picture overload this post even more than I usually do, and b) don't want to have to choose some to not post! :) So, I'll split Easter weekend into two parts: Good Friday and Easter. :)

The kiddies and I traveled to Kingwood yesterday for the first time in too long! We always have such a fun time when we go. We took a walk through the greenbelts, played at the park, ate a picnic, visited Uncle Christian, and drove home exhausted! :)

Playing at the park after our walk through the "forrest" (the greenbelt!)

Picnic lunch-

Ada loved this contraption! It was like an individual merry-go-round-

Then she swirled her bunny around after she got off-

Digging in the dirt with a very sophisticated shovel-

"I'm on a see-saw!"

MorMor see-sawed, too!
I also busted MorMor playing a little, too... :)

Then we packed up and drove to Uncle Christian's so he could meet Dax and see Ada. We had a really good time, and it was so good to see him! :)

Ada holding her gift from Christian- a Rapunzel doll and house!

Ha!

Then Ada got a hold of my camera and snapped a few shots of her own. A photographer in the making I think!

Ada taking a picture of her shoes- I shoved my feet in there at the last minute-

Then we went and relaxed for a minute at MiMi's before hitting the road home.

Dax- 5 weeks

More fun to come on Sunday when the Easter bunny comes and we go back to Kingwood for more excitement! :)

In the closet...

When I went to check on Ada during her nap today, this is how I found her. Sacked out in her closet! Ha!
