COLDPLAY CONCERT!!

So, the top 5 on my bucket list is wishy washy, but in it is definitely to see Coldplay in London.
I am OBSESSED with Coldplay (and London)..
Our first dance was to "Yellow" nearly 6 years ago-

And for Mother's Day, Casey surprised me with tickets to see them in concert!!!
This is us before leaving for the show on Monday night.  I'm SO GIDDY!

He splurged on good seats!  This was the bar behind our section-
where we hung out for 2 hours waiting for them to go on.
We actually ran into my sweet friend Alex Luton back here!  Love her!
(No picture, it was terrible of me, LOL!)

They're about to start!  I'm about to pee my pants!

Everyone was given one of these wrist bands at the door-

And they lit up and pulsed with the music!  It was incredible!

OMG, I'm about to die.

Ack!

I almost passed out right here.

Such a cool show!

OMG, I'm dying again.  Christ Martin!

Christ Martin at the piano!  Dying!

Yellow lights for "Yellow" :)

Band up close- playing an awesome song.  Can't remember which.  They're all awesome. :)

I don't know- cool lights, I guess?

Us with the stage in the background!

For the "encore" they surprised the audience by popping up in the middle of the crowd!
Same row as us, just a few sections away!

I definitely waited in line and overpaid for a t-shirt.
And definitely wore it bright and early the next day to gymnastics!

I had the BEST time- I wish I had taken 1,000 pictures.  But I was trying to just stay "in the moment", and who are we kidding- no one but me cares to see them (the pictures).  Ha!
I hope that I can cross Coldplay in London off of my bucket list someday-
but if not, this will DEFINITELY suffice.  It was an incredible show!

Zoo Trip

I decided on a whim last Friday to pack the kids (and a lunch) and head to the zoo.
It was too last minute for any of our friends to join us-
but we still had a BLAST!
I'd intended to only stay an hour or so, but we were still there 3 hours later!
Watching the monkeys- Dax's favorite part!  He also loved the longhorns (uh-oh!) and the giraffes.
Ada loved the leopard this time.
 Carousel ride!

I am practicing being frugal and packed a picnic for us to enjoy!

Then promptly blew what I'd saved on lunch at the gift shop.  Oh well, at least I didn't do both!! :)

Serious Photo Dump!

Wow, we've kept busy this summer!!  We are having a BLAST.  I try to catch snippets of it with my phone.  Not always gracefully, not always successfully, but always attempting.  :)

Here are a bunch of random pictures I've taken over the last few weeks documenting what we've been up to!!

We've had lots of playdates with our friends!

And MiMi playdates, too!

And a TON of MorMor playdates, too- why do I never take pictures of MorMor?
(Because we're too busy lounging on the couch drinking coffee together, that's why!!)
That'll change tomorrow.
We're going to her house to go swimming at her YMCA, and then hopefully Christian's, too!!!

We've been playing in our back yard- swimming, sand table, etc!

Ada being a mermaid in her mermaid tail and goggles!!
We're still going to gymnastics- we LOVE it!!  We are definitely going to continue classes in the fall.

Cooking with Mommy!  She chopped that mushroom all by herself!
She actually picked it out and requested we put it in our spaghetti sauce herself, too.
When I asked her last night at dinner what she wanted to be: "I want to cook in a restaurant!"
Then declared we needed to buy a bigger house and set up a restaurant in it...

We graduated from the highchair to a booster seat!  AND feeding ourselves with a big boy spoon!
I was so proud of him for being so neat and tidy while feeding himself his yogurt that I took this picture.
I turn my back for one minute, and he did this-

We are also doing some good 'ole relaxing, too.  Love it!

First Dentist Trip

The kids had their first dentist appointment yesterday.  Ada was so brave and sweet and precious.
She actually had the beginnings of 2 tiny cavities- which makes me feel so guilty!!!!
So, we're getting those fixed, and then her molars sealed in a few weeks.
Poor girl.  Bad mommy!

Dax wasn't so brave for his cleaning and fluoride treatment.
He recovered quickly, though; and semi-cooperated for a picture!  :)

Houston Aquarium

The last time we visited the Downtown Houston Aquarium,
Ada was 10 months old and I blogged about it HERE!  So cute.
It's funny reading that- I mourned returning to school that year,
and leaving summer (and 24/7 with Ada) behind.
Fast forward 3 years, and I struggled with the decision for a semester
before deciding it would be best to be home with them!
Looks like my 26year old wishes finally came true. :)

Dax's first ferris wheel ride!

Train ride through the Aquarium grounds-

Carousel ride!

Ada rode the gator- view the post I linked to above to see her on the same one 3 years ago!!

Inside the Aquarium- I was fascinated by this Moray Eel!

Ada wanted her picture taken with these barracuda. :)

View link above to see the same picture of Ada at 10 months as the one below-

Beautiful tigers- they were feisty that day!  The one pacing actually had just leaped toward and pounded into the viewing window!

Ada acting scared!
